Cookies and your choices
We distinguish website functions from optional tools. You can change your choice at any time.
What the website stores
Cookies are small browser files. Local storage is another form of device storage; consent rules can apply to both technologies. The website uses local storage to remember your chosen theme and preference-panel decision.
The cyberon:theme key stores your choice of Auto, light or dark until changed or browser data is cleared. Auto uses local sunrise and sunset calculations for Warsaw; it does not access your location. The cyberon:consent:v1 key stores categories, notice version and decision time. We treat a decision as valid for six months; you can change it sooner. Storage needed to respect your choice is not used for advertising.
Optional tools
With analytics consent, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may process pages visited, interactions, device and browser information. With marketing consent, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag and Google advertising measurement tools may process visits and events for campaign measurement and advertising audiences. These tools use cookies or similar device storage; providers may receive your IP address. Optional processing is based on your voluntary consent. Refusal does not restrict the website or contact options.
Google Tag Manager loads tools according to your consent categories. Contact details and form contents are not sent to these tools. A newsletter requires a separate subscription and consent.
Optional tool cookies
This inventory is based on integration tests on 2 and 3 October 2026. Analytics includes Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity; marketing includes Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag and Google advertising measurement. Tools load only after consent to their category. Browser settings may restrict third-party cookies; names and lifetimes may vary between browsers.
Google Analytics: _ga and _ga_HHDEDK6528 on .cyberon.it — browser identification and session measurement; the observed expiry was 400 days. Google: _gcl_au on .cyberon.it — advertising and conversion measurement; 90 days.
Microsoft Clarity: _clck on .cyberon.it — a browser identifier for this website, 365 days; _clsk on .cyberon.it — linking page views into a session, 1 day.
Microsoft: MUID on .clarity.ms and .bing.com — browser identifiers, 390 days each. Microsoft describes their use for analytics, advertising and service operations. SM on .c.clarity.ms — identifier synchronisation across Microsoft domains, until the session ends. MR on .c.bing.com — whether to refresh MUID, 7 days. ANONCHK on .c.clarity.ms — an advertising identifier flag, 10 minutes; Microsoft states that Clarity does not use ANID.
Microsoft: SRM_B on .c.bing.com, 390 days — an additional cookie observed when connecting to Microsoft services. The specific purpose of this cookie is not described in the provider documentation we reviewed.
Meta Pixel: _fbp on .cyberon.it — a browser identifier for advertising measurement, 90 days.
LinkedIn: bcookie on .linkedin.com — device identification and abuse detection, 365 days; li_gc on .linkedin.com — a guest’s cookie preference, 180 days; lidc on .linkedin.com — data centre selection, 1 day. Cloudflare for LinkedIn: __cf_bm on .linkedin.com — bot protection, 30 minutes. Connecting to LinkedIn from our website is optional and depends on marketing consent.
In a later PL/EN test on 3 October 2026, after the Google Analytics test settings were changed, _ga and _ga_HHDEDK6528 were restricted to the dev.cyberon.it host and had Secure and SameSite=Lax attributes. This finding concerns those two cookies in the test environment; it does not establish the same settings for other cookies or the production configuration.
These periods are cookie expiry times observed in tests, not providers’ retention periods for all data. A later visit may renew an expiry, and browsers may shorten it. This is not a complete catalogue of provider cookies in every browser configuration.
Accepting, refusing and changing
The panel lets you refuse optional tools, accept all or choose analytics and marketing separately. Optional categories are not preselected. Refusal does not block reading the website or contacting us. Open settings through “Cookie settings” in the footer or the button on this page.
Change consent in cookie settings. Reducing consent stops further tool loading by reloading the page. Previously stored cookies can be cleared in your browser. Withdrawal applies to future processing and does not undo data already lawfully sent to a provider.
External content
Articles may contain YouTube or Spotify content loaded after a click. Opening an external link or player may disclose your IP address and browser information to that provider. The youtube-nocookie mode alone does not guarantee that no personal data is processed. Embeds and their consent handling require a separate check before articles are published.
